5 Easy Ways to Use Caravel Gourmet's Lime Sea Salt in Vegan Recipes

VERSATILE, TART, AND SUNNY!

Cucumber Lime Salad.   Give this one a bit of time and it will reward you.   Chill your cucumbers first, then skin them and slice them into ⅛” discs.   Lightly salt them with Caravel Gourmet's Lime Sea Salt, and toss.   Let them sit covered in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, then drain and toss with rice or white vinegar for a tasty, refreshing treat!

Asparagus with Lime & Olive Oil.   Prep the asparagus by trimming off the thick ends and rinsing in cold water.   In an iron skillet (or the heaviest one you have with a lid), heat the oil till it starts to thin, then add the asparagus, and shake the pan to coat it in the oil.   Cover the pan and cook on medium for 3 minutes, checking to make sure it’s not burning. Uncover and cook a few more minutes until the asparagus is bright green, then add Caravel Gourmet's   Lime Sea Salt to taste.

Lime Avocado Toast.   Next time you whip up your favorite avocado toast and sprinkle some sea salt on it, use a flavored salt like Caravel Gourmet's   Lime Sea Salt to add extra complexity and depth to the avocado.

Sauteed Lime Peas.   With either fresh or frozen peas, add to a pan with a pat of butter and saute on low for a few minutes, until the peas are a bright green color and tender to the touch.   Add a bit more butter, and a bit of garlic. Don’t add Caravel Gourmet's Lime Sea Salt until you’re ready to serve - this will dehydrate the peas, especially if they’re frozen.

Crispy Lime Brussels Sprouts.   Using a hot oven and a short cooking time makes Brussels Sprouts deliciously crispy.   Cut the sprouts in half and toss in olive oil and Caravel Gourmet's Lime Sea Salt, then arrange in one level on a baking sheet.   Roast for 10 minutes, then shake the sheet to make sure everything’s getting roasted.   Roast for 5-10 more minutes - once they seem like they’re getting nice and brown and crispy - and serve right away.
